How Each Game Plays

Bull Bull (Niu Niu)

Every hand receives five cards. The goal is to find three whose values add up to a multiple of ten, such as 10, 20 or 30. Picture cards count as ten and aces count as one. Once you have that group, the other two cards decide your “bull” value: add them and keep the last digit. If those two cards also make a multiple of ten, you hold Bull Bull, the strongest regular hand. No valid group of three means no bull at all.

3 Pictures (San Gong)

Each player and the banker receive three cards. Jacks, Queens and Kings are the “pictures”. A hand of three picture cards sits at the top of the rankings; otherwise you add the card values and keep the last digit, with nine being the best score. Ranking and tie rules can differ between tables, so check the rules panel first.

Poker

Kaiyuan’s poker uses the hand rankings you already know, from high card and one pair up to a straight flush and royal flush. Dragon Tiger

This is probably the simplest game in the lobby. One card goes to Dragon and one to Tiger, and the higher card wins. You can also back a Tie. On most tables aces are low and kings are high, and suits do not count. A round takes seconds.

Strictly speaking a dice game, Sic Bo is a staple of any Asian card lobby. Three dice are rolled and you bet on the outcome: Big or Small, Odd or Even, a particular total, doubles, triples or specific combinations. Broad bets land more often, while narrow ones pay more but hit less frequently.
